Prevost Stars in Nationwide
Television Commercial
Sainte-Claire, QC, July 17, 2012 – Prevost is the star of a television and print ad campaign developed by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP). The association, which represents member companies that produce over 90 per cent of Canada’s natural gas and crude oil, including Canada’s Oil Sands Producers, created the campaign to showcase the positive economic impact their industry has on the nation, including the transportation industry. The ads illustrate how Prevost has been an integral part of that impact, by supplying coaches to the Oil Sands in Northern Alberta, in turn promoting motorcoach travel throughout the country.
“Prevost is extremely proud of the shared economic influence
generated by Prevost and CAPP”, comments Gaetan Bolduc, Prevost
CEO. “Whenever I visit the Alberta Oil Sands and see the abundance
of activity and hundreds of motorcoaches, I am reminded of the
influence our industry has on the economy and the contribution
that Prevost makes to the people of Canada.”
The use of Prevost motorcoaches in Alberta allows Canada’s Oil
Sands Producers to utilize the most environmentally friendly
method for transporting their employees. Motorcoaches emit the
least carbon dioxide (CO2) per passenger mile compared to other
vehicles, and are 7 times more energy and fuel-efficient than
single occupancy automobiles.
“Prevost recognizes the positive environmental impact our product
has, and we applaud CAPP for incorporating this green solution
into their strategy”, says Bolduc.
The television ad campaign continues across Canada over a six week
period, with more than 1600 placements during that period,
including during the recent Stanley Cup games. The television ad
