Parliament Travel Club,
New Orleans - Biloxi Experience
The Parliament Travel Club,
sponsored by the Parliament Coach Corporation, hosted an 'every manufacturer
coach' experience March 15-19 along the Gulf Coast to New Orleans.
The events began with a big dinner
buffet at the Casino Magic Bienville Bay Buffet, adjacent to the travel club's
home RV park. Highlights of the rally included an outstanding performance by
the Pete Fountain show, which kept toes tapping and spirits high for days.
The 75-year old jazz clarinetist and his seven piece band blew the crowd away
at the Casino Magic entertainment complex.
Then, transported by Prevost luxury
coaches provided by Prevost Car Company, the group attended an evening at the
Beau Rivage Casino resort including a dinner buffet with over 200 food
selections for all.
On St. Patrick's Day, the big
coaches came again and the crowd assembled for a day in the New Orleans French
Quarter, including an incredible jazz brunch at the famed Court of Two Sisters
with some time out for shopping. Then attendees were treated to a tour of the
New Orleans area, including the shores of Lake Ponchatraine, parks,
interesting neighborhoods and the history of this unique city.
Sadly the rally would have to end
and the nonstop companionship (and eating!) would have to end with the
Parliament Appreciation dinner at the Diamondhead Country Club.
From Prevost, BlueBird, Vogue,
Country Coach and many other coach owners had nearly a week of great fun and
even some exciting slot machine action along the Gulf Coast. Next year will
be out west somewhere they say, but many intend to return to the Gulf Coast
again after such a great introduction!
