Nestled deep in the Parliament
Coach Corporation's Clearwater, Florida complex is a valuable resource to
all coach owners. It's the Parliament Paint and Collision Repair Center.
The facility provides complete paint and collision repair work from minor
touch-ups and collision repair work on RV's to complete Prevost re-painting
and body repair work. Parliament Coach's operation is the only converter of
Prevost coaches which has its own in-house paint and repair facility.
"We want to make sure our quality
standards are maintained in every step of the manufacturing and service
process by having our own paint and body repair facility," Steve Mitchell,
Parliament President commented, "We don't 'job out' our paint work. It's
too important to owners to have a coach which is properly prepared for the
road. We don't want to send our customers to a local paint shop which may
or may not be fully experienced to handle the complicated paint work that
modern coaches require."
Body Shop Manager Frank Deboer
noted, "We can handle it all here, from fiberglass repair and paint work to
major reconstruction and body repairs." The facility features a 60-foot
side-draft paint booth for large and complex paint jobs.
The Parliament Paint and Collision
repair center is staffed by four full-time specialists who are experienced
in the full range of motor home repair and refurbishment.
The facility is a Prevost Authorized
Warranty Center for paint work and regularly provides coach painting for
Prevost Car Company. In addition, the operation maintains relationships
with the major insurance companies who typically insure recreational
vehicles. Many coach owners find that the Parliament facility can provide a
one-stop solution to paint and collision repair work on their coach.
Deboer, who originally came to
Parliament after serving as Paint Shop manager for one of the larger repair
facilities in Florida made a good point, "We've seen it all here. One of
the things we tell owners is that if they have any damage to their coach,
even from a blow-out or minor bump is to save any stray pieces of fiberglass
or plastic if possible. It can avoid major or more expensive replacement of
major body parts."
He indicated that it is often
possible to utilize a broken or mangled section of fiberglass or plastic,
blending it back into the repair job instead of having to replace caps and
much larger panels, which are often very expensive to replace.
Because the Parliament Paint and
Collision Repair Center is located within the Parliament Coach complex,
there's easy access to service, manufacturing and sales. In addition,
Parliament maintains full-hookup visitor slots for customers who may require
longer stays. Parliament maintains a private and secure camp area for its
customers as a part of its diversified facility in Clearwater.
With experience in mini-motor homes,
traditional motor homes and Prevost coaches, the facility is able to provide
expert service, no matter the size of the job or the extent of work which
may be required by the customer. In cases of collision damage, Parliament
will assist customers in working with insurance companies so that customers
do not have to be overly involved in the paperwork and estimates typically
found in insurance claims work.
"We try to make it easy for
customers to have their coaches ready for the road," Mitchell noted, "With
our service department and manufacturing on-site, we're able to integrate
any additional repair or upgrade work into a coach right here in one place."
